Occupational Health Management

DIL has established a structured Occupational Health Management System supported by qualified medical professionals and well-defined health programmes. Regular health surveillance, risk-based medical assessments, and health awareness initiatives help identify occupational health risks early and promote employee wellbeing.

Preventive Healthcare

Periodic health examinations are conducted in accordance with statutory requirements and occupational exposure to monitor employees' health and support early diagnosis of work-related illnesses. Health assessments include routine medical examinations, pathological investigations, pulmonary function tests, audiometry, electrocardiography (ECG), vision screening, dental examinations, and cardiovascular health evaluations.

Occupational Health Centre

The Occupational Health Centre (OHC) at DIL is staffed by a full-time Medical Officer, qualified nursing personnel, and trained first-aid assistants. Equipped to provide primary healthcare, emergency medical support, and occupational health services, the centre ensures prompt medical attention for employees and contractors whenever required.

Workplace Wellness

DIL promotes a healthy workforce through regular wellness initiatives and health awareness programmes. These include health camps, blood donation drives, yoga and meditation sessions, lifestyle awareness programmes, and disease screening camps conducted in association with healthcare professionals.

Emergency Medical Preparedness

Emergency medical preparedness is an integral part of our health management system. Regular first-aid training is conducted for employees, first-aid boxes are strategically placed across the plant, and a fully equipped Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance is available to provide immediate medical assistance and facilitate emergency referral to specialized healthcare facilities.

Community Health Initiatives

As part of our commitment to community wellbeing, DIL periodically organizes health camps and medical awareness programmes in nearby villages, supporting preventive healthcare and improving access to basic medical services for surrounding communities.
