Organic Waste Management and Treatment Practices

It's evident that water management has been a significant challenge for DIL (presumably referring to a specific industrial plant or company) due to its location in Chandrapur, a drought-prone district in Maharashtra. However, the organization has successfully addressed this challenge through various water conservation measures. These measures have not only helped them ensure an adequate water supply for their operations but have also significantly reduced their water consumption and improved their environmental sustainability. Here's a summary of the key actions taken:

Plastic & other Solid Waste

Plastic and other solid waste are disposed through a vendor, having authorization from MPCB and CPCB. Their regular bimonthly collections from our plant premises are instrumental in maintaining environmentally compliant and efficient waste disposal methods. In addition, DIL encourages reuse, recycling, and creative repurposing of waste materials. The picture shared of a sofa ingeniously crafted from a discarded oil drum is one such example of many such stories.
