Self-Help Groups

From Trust to Self-Reliance

DIL firmly recognizes the significance of building relationships through the investment of time and trust. Through the establishment of self-help groups (SHGs), DIL has effectively fostered a deep sense of trust among the women residing in the nearby villages. Our direct aim is to inspire and empower local women, encouraging them to explore self-employment opportunities. We actively engage them in SHGs and provide the essential capital required to kick-start their entrepreneurial journey.

The program boasts several significant highlights, including

  • Conducting regular monthly counseling meets to provide support and guidance.
  • Collaborating with RCT, Panchayat Samiti, and NABARD to organize comprehensive self-employment training sessions.
  • Actively participating in the "Udyamita" Training program, a Central Government initiative for SHGs. Notably, this
involvement led to the successful inauguration of a central mobile repairing center, benefiting 156 talented young
    individuals from the local villages.
  • Facilitating educational study tours to renowned institutions such as MGIRI in Wardha and Gokul Kuti Udyog in
    Hinganghat.
  • Ensuring effective monitoring and evaluation through monthly status review meetings held across nine local villages.
