Haldia Energy has installed 242 micro solar domes in the houses of the Scheduled  Caste communities at Baneswarchak, Madhabpur,and Pathar- beria Village at Joynagar Gram Panchayat, Haldia, in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India and coordinated by the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharag- pur, and N.B. Institute of Rural Technology- Kolkata. The critical objective of the project is facilitating education among village children. Therefore, for this purpose, IIT has developed a single light gadget for reading purposes.   The installation process of these lights is going on.
