“Cancer is curable if detected early”

A Cancer screening camp was organised at DIL in association with Regional Cancer Centre, Nagpur on 25th May 2023 for employees and their spouse.

Screening tests are very essential for the early diagnosis of cancer. The camp was inaugurated by Mr Soumen Barua-GM; Mr Dinesh Gakhar, DGM-HR; Mrs Chaitali Ganguly and Mrs. Arpita Barua. Dr. Minal Patle – Oncologist addressed the audience and gave a brief idea about the importance of screening tests in the early diagnosis of cancer.

Mr. Soumen Barua appreciated the medical and the HR team of DIL for this initiative and urged the employees to actively participate in the camp. A total of 96 people including 23 females were screened for Breast, Cervical and Oral cancer. Employees appreciated this initiative and urged for more such camps in future. The camp was co-ordinated by Dr. Anish Nair – Medical Officer, DIL.
